Laurel Reale
Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt
Laurel was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California and is a current beach volleyball professional athlete and coach.
After graduating from University of Hawai’i with a degree in Sports Wellness Nutrition, she followed up her record-setting athletic career with back-to-back NCAA Division I National Championships as a coach for University of Southern California (’21, ’22).
In 2021, after an unfortunate experience with a homeless man in Santa Monica, CA, Laurel searched out the best self-defense training she could find. Jiu Jitsu quickly became a passion for her.
She used the knowledge she acquired through self-defense training to become a more confident and prepared woman, even venturing into Jiu Jitsu competition.
